Our trip home was looooooong, but had some great fishing success. We actually caught two tunas the first day, and got another little skipjack tuna after that which was so young that we released him. When we caught the tunas they hit at the same time, so we assumed they were mahi mahi. Everyone was excited to see that they were bigeye tunas. It was an thrilling afternoon and a relief to have a better dinner option since we were on our last provisions. The second day we caught a mahi mahi and another little tuna which we also released. That one was fun for me because I was at the helm and could see a bird/fish frenzy and turned the boat into it, where we saw a bunch of different fish jumping and birds swooping down. Since we had the mahi on board and two tunas from the previous day, we all voted to release the little one.
